About
Our practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology began in July of 1977. It was founded by Dr. Clifford Raymond and Dr. David Stockwell. The original location was in a professional building complex located closer to Huber Village Drive. In 1984, the practice moved from that location to our present one. In July of 1985, Dr. Marc Parnes joined the practice. In 1987, Dr. Stockwell decided to concentrate his practice at Riverside Hospital and left the group that he had helped to create.
Drs. Raymond and Parnes continued to utilize both Riverside and St. Anns hospitals for the care of their patients. Dr. Amol Arora joined the practice in 2007. In August of 2012 Dr. Parnes retired from the practice of medicine, and at that time Dr. Shayne Rheaume joined the practice. Dr. Raymond retired from the practice in August of 2014. In the fall of 2015, Dr. Sindura Bandi joined the practice. Dr. Jen Allen recently joined our group in September of 2016.
The physicians have been pleased to have had several nurse practitioners in the practice over the course of its history. Jessie Anderson and Alexis Shelley joined the practice in March 2014 and have become an integral part of the care of our patients. With the addition of our new office in Granville, we have been pleased to have another nurse practitioner join our group. Tara Freter has joined us as of the first of the year, 2017.
Our story needs to be updated. In May of 2018 Dr. Bandi left the practice to move to Texas. She wanted to be able to live close to her parents. While she didn’t wish to leave her patients, she wanted to raise her children with them having the benefit of being close to their grandparents. In August of 2018, Dr. Allen also left to move to Kentucky to be with her husband. Again the pull was family in that they wanted to be situated in such a way as to be equidistant from each of their extended families.
In January of 2019 we were pleased to find the right physician to join Drs. Arora and Rheaume, Dr. Britta Buchenroth. Dr. Buchenroth was trained at Riverside Hospital and had been in practice for a year before joining Eastwind. Together, along with our nurse practitioners, Jessie Anderson, Alexis Shelley and Tara Freter, we know that you will find them continuing the tradition of Eastwind Women’s Health to provide you with expert care.
Over the history of our practice there have been numerous changes to the practice of medicine. Despite these changes, there has been a constant culture that has persisted within our practice. That is that the relationship we have with our patients is of highest importance. We strive to provide the type of care to each of our patients that we would want a member of our family to experience.
