Dr. Marc Parnes, Practice Manager

Dr. Parnes retired from the practice of medicine at Eastwind Women’s Health in August of 2012. He has continued to be involved with the practice as the practice manager. Although he is not at the office every day, when he is, he enjoys seeing and catching up with his patients who are there seeing one of the other physicians. “I love hearing about the children that I had the privilege of delivering into this world.”

Alexis Shelley, RN, MS, WHNP-BC

Alexis graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a BA in French and International Economics in 2004. She then worked for several years as a professional ballet dancer and French instructor. In 2013, she obtained her MS as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from Ohio State University with recognition as the outstanding WHNP graduate.  She has been at Eastwind Women’s Health since March 2014 and specializes in family planning, prenatal care, menstrual disorders, annual exams and menopause. Recently, she completed training to become a certified lactation counselor and is excited to include this in her care of women. She is passionate about providing preventive education to enable women to understand and improve their own health.

 

Alexis and her husband, Jeremy, have lived in Westerville for 8 years. In their free time, they enjoy hiking at local parks or Hocking Hills and going to the zoo with their two young children. She spends her volunteer time with teens at her church and teaching occasional dance classes.

Jessie Anderson, RN, MSN, CNP

Jessie graduated from Youngstown State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then joined the United States Air Force and served four years on active duty at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. After separating from the military, she spent the next four years working as a float nurse at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. During this time, Jessie went back to school to further her nursing education, choosing the women’s health specialty due to the emphasis on preventive medicine. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri – St. Louis in 2011 and became certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She then worked at Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region for a little over a year before relocating to central Ohio. Jessie was pleased to join Eastwind Women’s Health in 2014.

Jessie lives in Johnstown with her husband, Matt, daughters, Vivian and Evelyn, and her dog, Cooper. She enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family. She spends much of her free time working out, baking, and crocheting. She is also an avid sports fan, including Buckeye football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

Tara Freter, RN, CNP

Tara attended Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio for her undergraduate training and received her Bachelors in Science and Nursing and a minor in psychology graduating in 1998. After practicing as an RN at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio for 10 years in women’s health, Tara went back to Otterbein where she completed her Graduate training obtaining a Master’s degree as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Tara has 10 years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health.

 

Tara is certified through (AANP) American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of (ACOG) American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Tara is married with two sons. She enjoys running, yoga, reading, & spending time with friends and family.
